Petaluma has always provided a special holiday destination for our community and for visitors throughout the North Bay. This year, the City of Petaluma is building on that reputation to draw even more visitors to our picturesque city this holiday season.

We have an opportunity for local businesses and the community to bring LUMA Ice to life and help create an accessible experience for all of Petaluma. LUMA Ice's 5,600-square-foot rink welcomes 1,800 skaters daily, plus offers a festive outdoor gathering space for the whole community to enjoy throughout the event! We aim to create a truly magical experience this season while also drawing residents and visitors from across the Bay Area to Petaluma for holiday activities, shopping, and dining.

The Benefits

The fully outdoor LUMA Ice rink covered with a gigantic tent is open daily, rain or shine, providing nearly 4 weeks of continuous engagement with thousands of skaters and spectators from Petaluma and beyond. Located at the centrally situated Petaluma Fairgrounds, this eye-catching winter wonderland is visible to countless visitors and passersby, making it a standout destination for holiday festivities.

A robust multimedia marketing campaign running from October through January ensures valuable brand exposure during this prime time of year. Partnerships with local businesses and community organizations amplify the event’s reach, drawing visitors from across Sonoma County and the Bay Area to experience the magic of LUMA Ice.
